Hey, I'm Rain — I Design for Moments That Matter

I’ve always loved orchestrating experiences. Whether it’s a jazz festival or a community fundraiser, events bring people together—and I find joy in crafting the systems that make those moments possible. While I’m introverted by nature, I thrive behind the scenes, ensuring every detail supports a seamless experience.

How I Merged Events with Design

My design journey started at the Victoria Jazz Society. I was entrusted with creating festival signage, posters, maps, and sponsor assets. It was hands-on, fast-paced, and high-stakes—and I loved every second.

That experience pushed me to self-teach design fundamentals, software tools, and systems thinking. I soon realized that design isn’t decoration—it’s infrastructure. It’s what helps people understand, move, act, and feel.

What I Stand For

Design should not dominate things.
Not dominate people. It should help people.
Not outstanding design, but better design.
The spectacular things are not the important aspects.
The unspectacular things are the important aspects, especially for the future.”
